Maine Crafts: Giving New Life to An Old Glass Vase

So the question is: is it a vase or is it a candle holder?

I proudly admit that the price was nice and the work was easy.
It entailed a free (but ugly) vase, and $1 worth of supplies. Oh, and 10 minutes of my time.
Just the way I like it!

Maine crafters are thrifty and pretty darn creative.

Check out Mainely My Creations to see how I made it. :-)

  1. This is such a simple, but interesting treatment. Sure changed the look of this vase/candleholder....how about I say versatile piece? Great job!

  3. Love the filigree look of the cut out letters, what a clever idea! If you'll check my blog I have two posts about vase redos, you might be able to use them on your extra vases. I do love a pretty, interesting vase!

  4. Hi Shirley,
Thanks so much for visiting. You are too funny! :) My hubby & I camped in our motor home in Maine almost 4 years ago & just loved it! How lucky you are to live in such a beautiful state!
Your vase/candle holder is really cool!

  5. I love the way the wording looks when you're using it as a candle holder! It might get overlooked as a vase, but it definitely adds a great graphic detail anyways :)

    Great re-purposing!

  6. That is really cool!!! I love it as a candle holder, but then again I have tons of candles all over my house. There is just something soothing about candle light - not to mention add wine and it softens wrinkles and takes 10 years off - LOL!
